Dorton House Wedding

The venue for the wedding of Bryony and Steve was Dorton House – a Grade I Listed Jacobean country house near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, ideal for stunning wedding photography. The house was built between 1596 and 1626 by Sir John Dormer on the site of a previous house. The house is in a Gothic Style and is in a horseshoe shape and was built from bricks made from local clay fired at the bottom of Brill Hill.

Set in the grounds of the House is a simply gorgeous boutique church, St John the Baptist, which is hidden away and dates back to 1590. The day was packed with fun, laughter and yes, lots of dancing!  A wonderful moment was when the Bride, Bryony, picked up the Cello and began to play. What a great photo opportunity I was given. Did I mention, they do like to dance and may I say extremely good at it, it was a pleasure to enjoy it with them. Thank you for a great day!

“Some people move our sails to dance”

A perfect all in one venue for you Civil or Church ceremony.
